Queste sono le regole per la piscina delle bimbe. Mi sembra abbiano una fobia per la nudita', una preoccupazione fortissima che i bambini possano essere molestati, e probabilmente alla base la paura di essere trascinati in tribunale. A me sembrano un po' esagerati. Che dite?
CHANGING:
- Moms & other Female Caregivers: you can change any student enrolled in classes from 9:00 to 3:00 in the women's locker room. For the 3:30, 3:45 & 4:00 classes students should go into the appropriate gender locker room UNLESS they are just 5 years old.
- If you have a 5 year old boy you can change them in the women's locker room BUT you need to be descrete about it. There will be girls ranging in age from 5 to 12 in the locker room during those times. There are also college students in there and it is unfair to have young boys running around while they are changing. Please do NOT allow them to wander around the locker room, change them and exit the locker room right away. Thank you!
- If you have older male siblings with you they should NOT be in the locker room if they are older than 5. They are welcome to wait on the pool deck while you change your younger child.
- ALL boys 6 & older MUST change in the Men's locker room. NO women are allowed in the men's locker room. We will have a locker room attendant in there to supervise the children. The men's locker room is 1/4 the size of the women's and exits right onto the pool deck. There is one small room (team room) where the Aqua Tots boys will change and then exit directly onto the pool deck. The monitor will stand just outside that room monitoring the exit so that we are sure students change and go directly onto the pool deck. If there are any big games on campus where the men's locker room will be used by home/visiting "teams" we will make alternate changing arrangements for the boys. We will email you when those conflicts occur and also post people to direct you to the alternate changing room.
- Fathers/Male Caregivers: Fathers, you are welcome to change your sons in the men's locker room at anytime during the day. If you are bringing your daughter, it is typically fine to use the men's locker room during the hours of 9:00 - 3:00. On occasion, if there are faculty or college students using the men's locker room, we may ask you to use the bathroom in our office (just off the pool deck) instead.
- If you have older female siblings with you they should NOT be in the locker room if they are 5 or older. They are welcome to wait on the pool deck while you change your younger child.
- For ALL girls in the 3:00, 3:30, 3:45, & 4:00 classes they must use the women's locker room OR the office bathroom. We offer the office bathroom to Father's with daughters 5 & older since we do NOT have a female locker room monitor.
- We ask that ALL parents/ caregivers watch classes from the upper viewing deck.
- The deck at Manhattanville gets very congested and it becomes a distraction and a hazard to staff and students when parents and siblings remain on the pool deck.
- If your child is just 2.5 years old we will sometimes make the exception and allow you to stay on deck IF we feel it will be better for the student, especially during his/her first few classes.
- All parents of students 3 & older should be on the upper viewing deck once class is underway.
- If we do NOT request that you stay on deck you must be on the upper viewing deck or in the locker room so that we can get you if your child needs you.
- Children often need to use the bathroom during class. Taking them just BEFORE class begins will make a HUGE difference and it will allow them the most pool time possible. If your child does need to go to the bathroom, during class, you will have to come down to the pool deck to assist them. There is a bathroom in the office on the pool deck for student use. Please make sure your child's caregiver knows that he/she MUST be available for all bathroom trips. They should NOT leave the building for any reason.
