Thoughts...

There is something perversely powerful and destructive in the inability of the human brain of letting go of mistakes.

Replaying over and over the same scene as if it would make any difference at all, is pathetic and so very human at the same time.

The ability of picking yourself up after tumbling to the ground rather than licking your wounds, of looking forward instead of peering into an ever so distant past, of focusing on the next opportunity rather than day dreaming about those already gone by... it seems such a basic and rational attitude to have in life... and yet is it is one of the most common pitfalls the human brain falls into.

And by that, I mean my brain. :-)

  1. I may be wrong but I do believe this has something to do with our Christian education.... :(

  2. I agree definitively with AD Blues. We focus on mistakes instead of looking ahead.
